Es hora que como ciudadanos asumamos nuestra responsabilidad y también obligación, de discutir y ejercer la gobernanza, esa forma de gobierno basada en la interrelación equilibrada del Estado, la sociedad civil y el mercado para lograr un desarrollo económico, social e institucional estable; toda vez que es saludable participar (participación democrática activa), estar informados, aprender a distinguir las fuentes reales de los chismes y rumores, así como entender y comprender que las redes sociales son los distribuidores, nunca generadores de dicha información. De la misma manera, nos falta asumir bien y fielmente que la opinión es distinta a la emoción; que las lealtades no están exentas de desacuerdos; y, que además la crítica es propuesta también.
Indicar errores en el todo de la administración pública es parte de nuestra participación, de la misma manera cuestionar las acciones de nuestros servidores públicos y exigir rendición de cuentas en lo individual. Demandar a los partidos, no sólo procesos de selección de candidatos transparentes, sino también la selección de los mejores candidatos para la ciudadanía, pero tal pareciera que los puestos públicos son “premios”. Se escoge a los que están en la fila, no a los que demuestran competencias ni cualidades operativas.
Tenemos igualmente que saber que hacer política no es negociar en la penumbra, de ahí que necesitemos servidores públicos capaces, conocedores de la necesidad de crear y poner en práctica políticas públicas que beneficien a la sociedad en su conjunto. Responsabilidad nuestra es también señalar a aquellos que no cumplen y que aún creen que la comunidad se contenta y conforma con discursos retóricos llenos de vacíos.
Igual compete una mirada a los partidos sin excepción, ya que ellos tienen la obligación de revisar la trayectoria de sus aspirantes, puesto que antes de lanzarlos al ruedo deberían, por sentido común, profesionalismo y ética cumplir con sus funciones vigentes. Estamos hartos de políticos que utilizan los escaños para aspirar a algo más robusto, olvidando que la función pública no es una carrera vertical, sino horizontal, y que su objetivo es colectivo y no individual.
También como ciudadanos, y es bueno traer esto a colación en este año pre electoral, que no es lo expuesto solo un problema de los partidos, sino de todos, ya que sus decisiones deberían tomar en cuenta los logros no las intenciones, lo mismo que el cumplimiento cabal de las funciones de los cargos asumidos. Antes de presumir lo que desean y quieren hacer, deben exponer lo que hicieron.
Debemos y tenemos que ser una sociedad que cuestione, los ciudadanos necesitamos servidores comprometidos que antepongan sus preocupaciones por las responsabilidades que asumen, debiendo enfocarse en su cargo. Como ciudadanos ya no debemos más ser los mismos. Entender a ciencia cierta y conciencia, que en la política, nuestro deber es subir de nivel el debate, hacerle saber a todos que no queremos improvisaciones y que merecemos servidores públicos que jamás ni nunca antepongan sus intereses a los propios del bienestar general. ethelcerchiaro@hotmail.com Administradora Financiera.
